Thoughts On Col. 1:19
Published: April 19, 2015I am hoping for some insight from you on Colossians 1:19. Do you believe this refers to the heavenly battle (as I do) with the angels and is this reconciliation and peace a forgiveness of some angels or the judgment of them or am I completely off the mark altogether?
Can I Be Forgiven?
Published: April 19, 2015I have never asked this question before or told anyone about this, but it haunts me daily. Do we know how or about what we will be judged? I know it says not by our works and that we will have eternal life if we believe. I do believe and I am a good faithful and practicing Christian woman but when young I went through what was probably post- partum depression and abused my baby.
This baby is an adult now and has had a drug problem most of his life, but is saved and a believer too. I feel very guilty. I cannot imagine that I would be forgiven for this sin against an innocent child. Even the Bible says that “woe be unto those who harm them”. So what is your advice for me? I don’t just want comfort, just the truth.
Why Are Catholics Wrong?
Published: April 18, 2015Why are we as Catholics wrong in trying to get as close and intimate to our Lord Jesus Christ as we can through the Roman Catholic Church?
Larger Earth Theory. Follow-Up
Published: April 18, 2015Re: The Larger Earth Theory. Reading it brings to mind a question I have had for a long time. What about the Sun’s heat benefit for the earth? I truly believe that the New Jerusalem could provide the light needed for earth but I can’t understand how the earth will survive with the heat benefit gone. Are we not to believe all we have learned about how the universe was put together and how it works?
The Larger Earth Theory
Published: April 18, 2015I was at a home Bible study the other night and the topic of the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven came up. The leader of the study said the (new) Earth will be many times larger than it is now in order to accommodate this vast structure. I had never considered that option and always thought as you do that the city will be more like a satellite in orbit. Later I happened to read an article that suggested the same thing. It seemed strange to have never heard of this and then hear it twice within a week. What are your thoughts on this “larger earth” theory?
OSAS … Again!
Published: April 18, 2015I am an Ordained Minister of the Gospel and I must admit, I have used much of your teaching in my messages! One of the questions I’m commonly asked is about OSAS. This first occurred when a member of my church asked me if that meant she could “Commit murder and still be saved and go to heaven.” I have also been told by critics of OSAS that this is a license to sin. I have been reading your books and commentaries on this interesting subject and must admit that you have changed my mind and I thank you. However, what is to keep some one who is saved from turning his/her back on Jesus and “going astray”?
Did Jonah Die?
Published: April 18, 2015Recently we were having a bible study on the book of Jonah and as I read the book I believe it to say that Jonah was alive in the belly of the fish that swallowed him. The instructor claimed that Jonah died in the fish & was essentially “buried” for three days, thus being a precursor to Christ. I believe that he was alive for the three days & nights, how else could he have prayed to God out of the fish’s belly?
Did He Remember The Dream Or Not?
Published: April 18, 2015In the King James Version of Daniel 2:1-11, it says that Nebuchadnezzar had forgotten the dream that so troubled him. However, in the New International Version, it suggests that he did not forget the dream but instead did not trust his wise men to render an accurate interpretation. Therefore, in order to be sure they got it right, he required that they tell him the dream and the interpretation. This raises a red flag of discrepancy between the two versions. Can you help clarify the difference?
Becoming All Things To All People
Published: April 18, 2015Can you explain what the context and meaning is of 1 Corinthians 9:19-23? In this day and age so many Christians are being influenced by the culture rather than Christians influencing the culture. They seem to have this need to be “relevant” in this world. Jesus wasn’t “relevant”. Are these verses addressing evangelizing?
Why Would The Jews Return To Israel?
Published: April 18, 2015What could possibly happen to bring the wealthy American Jews back to Israel ? Since the Anti-Christ seems friendly at first to the Jews I don’t see a national movement or persecution against the Jews, as Germany did prior to World War ll, nor do I see Israel becoming wealthy overnight a driving force for mass migration to Israel and besides Israel does not have the infrastructure or land to support millions more and lets face it Israel is already overcrowded and I see it to be an ugly country.
