Does Isaiah 18 Refer To America?

Published: June 16, 2015
Q

I have been interested in end-times prophecy for over 20 years. But, I still see and read things that surprise me. (I’m really amazed at how things are happening so quickly now.)

I’ve always heard that the U.S. is not clearly mentioned in Bible prophecy. Some time back I was told that there was a chapter in Isaiah (18) that could be a reference to the U.S. Could this possibly be talking about America? Was there ever a partial fulfillment of this chapter. I would appreciate your insight.

How Many Messiahs Are There?

Published: June 16, 2015
Q

Why did John the Baptist send his disciples to ask Jesus whether he was the one or for them to look for another? He is the same person who said “Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” So what is the Gospel of Matthew trying to tell us in this passage?

How Important Are We?

For the past couple of months I’ve been thinking about the question, how important are we (as born again Christians) to the earths progression and understanding of God? Can you you help me with this?

How Long Was A Day?

Published: June 15, 2015
Q

Thank you for this great site. My question is about the creation. The sun and the moon were created on the 4th day, and this then would establish a day as being 24 hours. How do we know the length of the first 3 days? Could this be a partial explanation of the debate over the age of the earth? I believe that, no matter what, God created the earth and sent Jesus to die for my sins but am curious about if there is some way to know how long a day was before there was a sun or moon. Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated.

Who or What Is “The Perfect” ?

Q

With all the debate about spiritual gifts going on in the church. I have a question. What is the definition of “the Perfect” in 1 Cor 13:10? Some say the canonized bible, others say the Holy Ghost and still others the Kingdom of heaven. What is your interpretation?

Saving Satan?

Published: June 15, 2015
Q

If Satan was created by God he is one of his children, even though fallen. If at a certain time, Satan sees he has lost and the power of God’s love prevails, could he not surrender and beg forgiveness and be saved?

Once For All?

Q

In your commentary on the Parable of the 10 Virgins you said, “This parable teaches that His return signals the deadline after which even the request to be saved and receive the Holy Spirit will be denied. (The foolish virgins, as the parable calls them, were on their way to replenish their oil when the bridegroom arrived.) The door will be closed, and the Lord will deny ever knowing those who’ve come too late.”

I have a question about the above quote. Maybe I’m confused, but I was always taught that Jesus died once for all time. Would that not include everyone from the beginning of time until forever?

Wrong About The End Times? Follow Up

Published: June 14, 2015
Q

In the “Wrong About the End Times” answer you said: “Also, the Islamic Mahdi is described in ways that make him appear remarkably similar to the anti-Christ. Both will initially appear as peace makers in a time of chaos, both will have 7 year reigns, a one world government and a one world religion, both will try to destroy the Jews, and on it goes.”

When you say ” both”‘ do you mean the Anti-Christ and the Mahdi? How do we know there is actually going to be a Mahdi since he is talked about in the Koran and not the Bible?

Why Didn’t God Prevent The Fall?

Published: June 14, 2015
Q

Do you have an article that justifies God ‘allowing’ Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, rather than Him stepping in and stopping them, thus preventing the fall. Another person is trying to use the fact that as ~’God didn’t prevent it, then He must not exist, because according to the way He describes Himself in the Bible, He would have stopped them.’ So the person in reference concludes God doesn’t exist, because he says God doesn’t act the way He says He would.
