Understanding Amos 3:7
Published: July 20, 2014Re: Amos 3:7. “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” I think I understand this scripture, but I’m not too sure how to explain it. Help, please.
Nothing New Under The Sun
Published: July 19, 2014Can you explain what Ecclesiastes 1:9 means when it says “and there is no new thing under the sun”. Is that implying that everything that we discover or learn about has already happened or has been here in the past?
Leaving Some Behind To Minister?
Published: July 19, 2014The day’s current world events leave me wondering if God might leave some believers behind during the rapture to evangelize or minister to those who are suffering. Despite my attempt to share the gospel with unbelieving friends and family, I hate to think of leaving them behind to suffer during the imminent tribulation. What are your thoughts about this?
Forgiving Sins
Published: July 19, 2014Thank you again for your teaching! Could you explain John 20:23? So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Also, I know that Jesus asked the Father to forgive the people who were crucifying Him. Can we ask God to forgive the sins of others?
Won’t All The Christians Be Gone?
Published: July 19, 2014I love your site and have learned so much. In one of your answers you stated, “However, the scenario you describe will come to pass after the Church is gone. It will happen during Daniel’s 70th week when millions of Christians will be martyred for their faith, and for their refusal to worship the anti-Christ and take his mark.” My question is, if all the believers in Christ have been raised with him, I didn’t think there were any Christians left.
Jerusalem And Shiloh
Published: July 18, 2014When it comes to the future Temple (Ezekiel’s Temple), and the location where it will reside, I agree with all that you have put forth in your material (the coming temple). However, I was reading Zechariah 14:17, which says, “And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain on them.” Now, doesn’t the act of worship require the Temple? Or, can one worship in the Millennium in Jerusalem while the actual sacrifices and Temple activities can be north in Shiloh?
We Sin Because We’re Sinners
Published: July 18, 2014I’ve heard you say, “We’re not sinners because we sin. We sin because we’re sinners.” Would you be kind enough to elaborate on this statement in a little more depth. I must say that my thick head is having difficulty seeing the difference between the two sentences.
Praying For Our Leaders
Published: July 17, 2014In my in box e-mail I received a request to pray for world leaders so that this world can be changed as God sees his purpose fulfilled. I do pray that these leaders receive the knowledge of God and His Holy Spirit, but I guess my faith is tested as I don’t believe that the world leaders can stand up for what is God’s will in unison. How should Christians pray?
Why Is Satan Still Trying To Kill The Jews?
Published: July 17, 2014Satan tried to prevent Jesus from coming to the earth by contaminating the human genome. One of the reasons for the Flood was to wipe out the hybrid-humans produced by the fallen angels mating with human women. Noah and his family were the only genetically uncontaminated humans. Through Herod’s decree to kill all male boys 2 and younger, Satan tried to destroy Jesus again but failed. Now that Jesus has won for mankind the chance for eternal life and Satan has been defeated, why is Satan still trying to destroy the Jews via the Holocaust and now through another oncoming Mideast war? It can’t just be a supernatural hissy fit. Satan must see a way to avoid his ultimate destruction if he can kill the Jews.
Concerned For My Friend
Published: July 16, 2014A friend who lives across the country from me has developed a close friendship with a woman who has a lot of problems and admits she is not a Christian. She boasts about her adultery, her drug use, and other things, and says that she has no desire to be a Christian but only attends church because my friend drives her there and it gives her a chance to look for men.
I have tried to express my concern that this woman will drag my friend down and away from God. My friend says her faith is ‘strong enough’ to stand up to this, but she is very involved in this woman’s life and has already participated in some of her sinful behaviors! At what point do we realize we can’t change an unsaved person and let go?
