I’m hearing a lot abut ‘the social gospel’ through various websites, but am feeling confused as to the real meaning. In general, the advice seems to be saying follow the ‘true gospel’ and avoid the ‘social gospel’ at all costs – but what is the difference? I’ve also heard the term ‘friendship evangelism’. Is this the same thing and if so, why is it wrong?

I know people who have been friends with Christians for a number of years, when, being impressed by the changes witnessed in their friends lives, have finally wanted to know more about Jesus. If this is a ‘social gospel’ then why is it wrong- or have I missed the point?

In Romans 10:9 Paul said if we confess with our mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe it in our heart we will be saved. I believe it in my heart but don’t remember if I ever said it with my mouth. I think I probably did but am not sure. I am housebound and don’t see anyone anymore but my wife and worry now that I may not be saved since I may not have confessed it with my mouth. Can you help me?

Can you help me understand the difference (if there is one) between the anti-Christ’s wrath, Satan’s Wrath, God’s Wrath, and the Great Tribulation? I heard someone say the Church will be here for the anti-Christ’s wrath and Satan’s wrath but not God’s wrath. I thought Satan’s wrath was the same as the Great Tribulation. Doesn’t the Rapture come before the Great Tribulation? I’m really confused about these terms.

Currently I am reading all your articles and responses to various people who inquired about the Temple Mount. You mentioned in your reply that the Third Temple will be built in Shiloh. I understand that Shiloh is only about 20 miles north of Jerusalem which is currently under the control of Israel. This being the case, why should Israel need the assistance of the antichrist to build the Third Temple since its construction will not be on Temple Mount, the most hotly contested property in the world today. I am referring to the covenant that the antichrist will enforce with Israel (Daniel 9:27) which perhaps will include the construction of the Third Temple. Isn’t it just a simple case of getting the required funds and technology to build the Third Temple? Does Israel need anyone’s approval to begin building this temple in Shiloh?

How is it a “sign” to us believers if the End Times prophecies will be fulfilled before ALL those being born in 1948 have died, as Matt.24:34 seems to say? I realized we are given the 70-80 lifespan window. It sounds like Jesus is saying that at least some of those born when the end time starts (1948) will still be alive when He returns . Who really knows how many people born in 1948 are still left alive at any given time? God could wait for like the last 10 Jews to be alive before the 2nd coming, right?

Can you explain to me how a person is truly converted to Christianity? What does a true conversion look like? How does a person repent of their sins and come to God? Will a person have habitual sin in their lives? I have heard so many different views as people when it came to what a real christian is. What does the Bible say?

I have lately been reading and watching programs which have been stating that “lukewarm” Christians will not be caught up in the rapture. They say that many who believe they are Christians, in fact the majority, will be left behind. This greatly worries me for so many!!! Could you please provide your thoughts on this?

Say somebody is past the age of accountability, so he is responsible for his sins in God’s eyes. His life goes on, and he is still unsaved when something occurs, an accident for example, that causes him such brain damage that he becomes mentally incompetent. Are people like this doomed for eternity? Or will the Lord in His mercy give them salvation, not holding against them their former sins?

You have stated, “No one believes the rapture is after the second coming of Christ.” I have noticed before on different topics that you sometimes put everyone into the same box. Many post tribbers believe the rapture is after the second coming at the resurrection.

Where does it say that the Church, the body of Christ, is the bride of Christ? It says in revelation 21 starting v9, come let me show you the bride of Christ and John is shown the holy city of Jerusalem adorned as a bride. I would just like to know are we the body of Christ or the bride of Christ or both?
