Continuing to rebuild after the fire
We helped this family finish the walls and roof of their home. And then we helped them get their tamale business up and running again!
This week we brought them groceries and got to check in on them. In the video below, they are sharing the progress they are making, adding on a cooking room for their tamales with the proceeds of their business!
Roof finished!
Last weekend, Sandi fell and shattered her ankle right as we were about to finish her roof. But we didn’t let that setback steal the joy or the progress we could make for this sweet family. Here’s their roof, now almost complete!
I’ll get more pictures once the concrete is cured, and we can remove the forms.
