Will I See My Brother Again?

Published: April 12, 2022 (Originally published: April 4, 2012)
Q

When I was 4 years old, my mom had a miscarriage and my baby brother died. I know he is in heaven with Jesus, but are he and my mentally disabled sister (who belongs to Jesus too, I know) the members of the church? Or are they a different category as old testament and tribulation saint are different? My hope is that I can live with my siblings in the New Jerusalem. I want to “get back” my ‘lost” brother, as I know the New Jerusalem is “church members only” (please correct me if it isn’t), that’s why it’s important to me.

What Happens To Earth People After The Millennium?

Published: July 16, 2006 (Originally published: July 16, 2006)
Q

Hi! Thank you for such a great website. My question is this. The people who become believers during the tribulation will go into the millennium and reproduce etc. What happens to them and their children during and after the 1000 years? Are they transformed into heavenly bodies after the 1000 years? Are their children automatically believers after the reach the age of accountability? Where are those of us who have been raptured kept during the 1000 year reign?

I get so confused about all of this. Thanks so much for your time and work. I really hope you are able to reply.

How Will She Appear?

Published: February 3, 2022 (Originally published: January 5, 2013)
Q

My cousin passed away recently. She was 64 and mentally handicapped since the age of 5. I always called her one of Jesus special little children because she loved to color and play with stuffed animals. When she goes before Jesus will she appear as a child from when she lost her mental abilities at 5? Or will she appear as a fully functioning adult? Are people like her protected under the blood of Jesus? I know she loved Him because she has told us so.

Saved Unbelievers?

Published: December 7, 2021 (Originally published: December 8, 2014)
Q

I have been married for 7 1/2 years and love my husband dearly. I am a believer but He is not. I have presented him with the facts and showed him scriptures in the bible to back it up. He just believes that Jesus was a good man that started one of many religions that are practiced today. He believes that when we as Christians tell someone that Jesus is the only way to salvation, that it is discriminatory against other beliefs. We have had many heated discussions in reference to this. It breaks my heart to know that his soul is at stake and I pray that the Lord will open his eyes one day.

I was on a Christian forum seeking help on how I could help my husband understand and was told not to worry about it because since I’m a believer, my husband and household are covered. This doesn’t settle well with me. My children are 6 and 4 so they’re too young to understand and are under the age of accountability but my husband being covered, I was like no way until I was referred to 1Cor 7:13-16.

“And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.” NKJV

I read the bible literally but this scripture, I’m having trouble with on whether I should take it literal or not. I just find it hard to believe that my husband would be raptured or be sanctified with me being a believer. Can you explain this scripture to me? Thanks again!

Are Children Really Saved?

Published: November 28, 2006 (Originally published: November 28, 2006)
Q

Most people believe that children before they reach the age of accountability will be saved. How does that belief square with the children that were destroyed in the flood and the children, along with the men and women, that God told the Israelites to kill in conquering the promised land?

And if it does, where in the Bible does it say so?

More On Guardian Angels

Published: November 5, 2009 (Originally published: November 4, 2009)
Q

I’ve read where you say children are protected by personal guardian angels, and I’m sure you are right. But that brings a question to mind and maybe the answer is so obvious that I can’t see it. If children have guardian angels why are so many in hospitals with cancer and other horrible diseases, why are so many abused and killed by strangers and many times their own parents or fall into the hands of pedophiles? Why are some born with terrible birth defects? I would think a guardian angel would prevent all this and each child would at least have a good start in life. I hope this is not a silly question and you will be able to shed some light on it for me.

A Marriage Question

Published: August 7, 2016 (Originally published: August 9, 2007)
Q

Thank you for your website, it has helped me greatly in my understanding of the Bible. I tend to agree with you on most everything and I really enjoy the ‘Ask A Bible Teacher’ section.

I have a question about marriage and the rapture. When my husband and I were married last year we took vows to God that said “till death do us part”, should we happen to be raptured live into Heaven will we still be married?

Leaving My Property Behind

Published: January 7, 2010 (Originally published: January 6, 2010)
Q

I have been a farmer and crop duster all my adult life, and something dawned on me recently that I would like your thoughts on. We have worked hard to overcome heavy debt all these years, and my wife and I are finally debt free and own some land. We have no children, and I would like to somehow leave the benefit of this land toward bringing those left behind to Christ, after the rapture. Also, I would like to see it benefit those who become believers after the rapture, as we all know that these will be terrible times. What dawned on me was “Who would I leave it to?” All the believers will be gone, so who could I trust to administer the proceeds or sale of the land. I wonder how wills will be probated, if a group of people simply disappears.
