After Effects Of The Rapture

Published: June 21, 2015 (Originally published: June 22, 2015)
Q

I have a question about the rapture that I have not seen addressed before. Most people that believe the rapture can happen at any time, seem to worry about destruction and people killed due to out of control vehicles and planes etc. when drivers and pilots are taken in the rapture. I feel that if the Lord can translate a large number of people all at once, He surely can prevent vehicles and planes from crashing all at once. I don’t know of any scripture to back this up, but I believe the Lord would do this. I also feel that He may stop time to accomplish the rapture so anything is possible out side of time. What are your thoughts on this?

How Far Does Forgiveness Go?

Published: June 21, 2015 (Originally published: June 22, 2015)
Q

When I was growing up I was repeatedly mistreated by my step father. The “secret” did not come out until I was on my third marriage and in my 30’s. My mother stayed with him anyway and a schism was created in our family making holidays very stressful times.

I had a breakdown over this and ended up in the hospital undergoing shock treatments last fall. At the hospital my mother was told not to come visit me as I was getting too upset when she came to visit. When I was discharged I emailed her and asked her not to continue to contact me and explained that I was not punishing her and it had nothing to do with forgiveness, but it was just too hard having her in my life. I have forgiven my step father for what he did to me, and I bear no bad feelings for either of them, I just cannot cope with them in my life.

How far does forgiveness go? Do I have to remain in contact with my mother in order to honor God? I want to be in God’s will and not my own but I feel so much better knowing when the phone rings, it won’t be her and I don’t have to worry about her contacting me, it’s like a weight is off my shoulders.

Post Church Salvation

RE: Your current article, The Nature Of Post Church Salvation.

Based on your reasoning the Churches of Revelation 2 and 3 would seem to be a part of the “Post – Church” salvation.

Contacting The Dead

Published: September 7, 2006 (Originally published: September 7, 2006)
Q

My wife watches (a well known psychic) on a daytime talk show. I don’t know if you are familiar with her but she is supposed to talk or in some manner make contact with the dead.

I was raised to believe this is wrong but the only scripture I know of that deals with this is the one about Sodom and Gomorrah. She has questions about this verse due to the wording and possible difference in meanings. Can you give me other verses in the Bible that would maybe be clearer on this subject or clarify the wording?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give us.

The Timing Of Revelation 21-22

Published: August 30, 2006 (Originally published: August 30, 2006)
Q

In your commentary of Revelation chapter 21, you quoted Isaiah 65:20 by saying: “The vast oceans, silent witnesses to the enormity of Noah’s flood will be hoisted back into the outer atmosphere, restoring the water vapor canopy that protected early man and allowing the return of long life spans they experienced. (Isaiah 65:20)”.

The statement, ” allowing the return of long life spans they experienced”, in my opinion, based on Revelation 21: 4 which says, “…there shall be no more death…” is not quite correct. I believe Isaiah 65:20 is referring to the millennium period.

First The Rapture, Then The Temple

Published: August 30, 2006 (Originally published: August 30, 2006)
Q

I have been wondering, after reading many of your articles, do you think that the temple could be built before the church is raptured?

The reason I ask this is because I have come to understand that Christ inhabits the temple … but He is already inhabiting us (the believers) could it be possible that He won’t inhabit the temple again until He raptures us?

Peace At Any Price?

Published: August 31, 2006 (Originally published: August 31, 2006)
Q

Hi, I really appreciate and enjoy your ministry, and perhaps you can provide some guidance for me on a particular issue concerning Christians who misinterpret the Bible and constantly spew “give peace a chance” pabulum. I have been continually excoriated by a handful of misguided Christians who are against all war and think that we should never stand up for ourselves and piously recite passages from the Bible to support their peacemaker dream sequences.

I realize that we live in an imperfect, fallen world, where Satan is doing his best to steal the souls of mankind. This is not going to change until Jesus returns, despite the best efforts of the Dominion/Kingdom Now groups. Man chose to go against God and do things his own way, and wars have been the end result ever since. War is hell for a reason, and no one ever wants to go to war. But, as stewards of the earth, we cannot let the weapons of Satan destroy the whole world (I am thinking of the Iranian Hitler and his nuclear capabilities).

I do not pine for the demise of any of the innocent and pray that those who live in the darkness of a religion that lacks hope will see the light, but we cannot acquiesce our own destruction in the meantime.

Is the Church not the restrainer of evil? Am I incorrect in thinking this? I am just tired arguing with these Christians who would rather put on a burka and grovel at the feet of the terrorists. I am also tired of being equated to the Nasrallahs of the world, as though I am somehow equally radical. Ha! Thus, I humbly request some guidance on this, as I have reached a boiling point of frustration.

Resurrection Of Old Testament Saints

Published: September 1, 2006 (Originally published: September 1, 2006)
Q

I just finished reading your excellent article on “Defending the Pre Trib Rapture Again” I appreciated your research very much. I would point out that I believe you quoted Daniel 12:2 as to when Old Testament Saints will be resurrected at the end of the tribulation. I think if you look at the gospels they show the old testament saints in Abraham’s bosom and they are resurrected when Christ is, that is why many graves were open and were seen by living people.

Is The Rapture A False Teaching?

Published: September 1, 2006 (Originally published: September 1, 2006)
Q

I have been hearing and reading that many people believe that the rapture is a false teaching started by a minister and a woman who had a dream in the 1800’s. This is especially held by (a well known radio personality). I really respect him and was devastated to hear this. What scriptures do pre-trib believers base their convictions on?

Great Tribulation Shortened?

Published: September 3, 2006 (Originally published: September 3, 2006)
Q

Thank you very much for your website, I could spend a thousand words describing its blessing in my life. Instead, I have a question. Matthew 24: 15 – 22 Jesus references Daniel specifically, who was precise in his dates and time, and timing. Jesus says “those days” will have to be cut short to preserve creation. What’s the deal here? So Daniel’s prophetic days will be “cut short”? Again, what is the thing that Jesus is saying?

God Richly Bless You and Yours!
