Antiochus Or Anti-Christ?

Published: April 14, 2022 (Originally published: April 6, 2010)
Q

I appreciate the time you take in answering questions. I imagine you get millions of them. I have a question concerning Daniel chapter 8. I heard many people use that as a reference to anti-Christ especially the part that says “by peace he will destroy many”. I see no reference to anti-Christ but only Antiochus in that chapter. Am I correct?

Interracial Marriage

Q

Is interracial marriage a sin? There are several people at the place where I work that claim that the Bible says that it is a sin. But Moses, Joseph, and Ruth are examples of interracial marriages. The passages they site clearly to me are saying not to marry a non-believer.

Did Jesus Appear In The Old Testament?

Published: April 15, 2022 (Originally published: May 8, 2006)
Q

Hi! I have found your site to be a great tool in my bible study. I love the way you back up your articles by quoting the chapter and verses in the bible, allowing a person to look them up and see for ourselves! I have a question. Can you point out some of the Old Testament “appearances” of Jesus Christ? Or am I misunderstanding something?

The End Times Kingdom

Published: April 15, 2022 (Originally published: April 13, 2010)
Q

In the King James Version, Daniel 2:43 reads, “And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” I have read about nephilim in the Bible and also on your website, and have a three fold question.

1.) When the fallen angels were chained until the time of the end. Was that all fallen angels or a chosen few and where do you get your information when you answer this question. 2.) Will their “mingling” come at the time of the tribulation or could it happen anytime. There is no mention of their offspring in the future so I am assuming they will be destroyed in the trib wrath? 3.) “but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” Does this mean their babies won’t live to be born or that it would be like a cat and dog mixing, it just won’t happen?

Seeking A Ministry Opportunity

Published: April 15, 2022 (Originally published: April 20, 2010)
Q

I Love your site, it’s been a real blessing in my walk with the Lord. Quick question, I feel the Lord has called me into the ministry but I don’t believe it’s into a normal pastor of a church kind of thing. Truth is, I don’t have the slightest idea what it would be otherwise. Just trying to knock on doors as the Spirit urges. Could you point me in any sort of direction where I could start to find out what other kinds of ministries are out there that the Lord might be calling me into?

Am I Saved?

Published: April 18, 2022 (Originally published: April 1, 2010)
Q

I have a question. I have prayed many times and asked the Lord to save me. However at times I feel like I must live right to be saved which I know is wrong but I don’t know how to stop. Plus I want to do things that I know is sin because it is fun even though I know it is wrong. Do you have any suggestions? Am I even saved?

Why Don’t They See It?

Published: April 18, 2022 (Originally published: April 27, 2010)
Q

I went to a website where a Jewish teacher is encouraging Jews to return to Judaism, he doesn’t believe Jesus is the Messiah. He was well versed and gave many scriptures {his interpretation} to back up his beliefs. I’ve been studying the Old Testament and can see Jesus throughout the entire word. Why do some still not accept him? I must say he shook me a bit with his commentaries especially since he knows the Torah so well. However, I do believe Jesus is the Messiah and felt bad that I allowed that to get to me. Could you give your thoughts?

The Language Of Heaven

Q

I am anxious to see every post and article that you write! A friend of my daughters asked me to ask you about what language we will be speaking in heaven? And if we would all be the same language? And will we be able to understand the language of the Holy Spirit? (Sorry that’s 3 questions.)

Why Do We Still Sin?

Published: April 19, 2022 (Originally published: April 1, 2010)
Q

The Bible says that when one receives Christ as their savior, that God is gracious to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That seems absolute in its wording, but I am still left with two questions. The first is why do we continue to sin after we are saved? and second, are there any sins for which we can not be forgiven after becoming saved?

The reason I ask these questions is that a young man at my daughter’s Christian school took his own life. God, being all-knowing, had to know this was going to happen. If this young man was saved, would God have already forgiven this particular sin in advance?

Why Let Them Be Born?

Published: April 19, 2022 (Originally published: April 6, 2010)
Q

Something has always confused me. Example: God selected Saul to be Israel’s first king but God must have known Saul would become disobedient even causing his own death and the death of his three sons. Why would God select Saul to be Israel’s king knowing this would happen? Also, why would a loving God let people be born He knows are going to hell? Why not prevent the birth of people God knows will never want Him? Are these questions that are not answerable while we are here on Earth? At one time in my life I was very angry with God for allowing so much suffering but I’ve come a place where I must believe God is just and a loving God but that since I am human there is a great deal I can’t understand even if I wanted to.
