I am in 2 Bible Studies at Church – one in Matthew and the another in Revelations. We ran across this verse in Matthew 19:28, and I do not know what the 12 thrones refer to. In Rev.4, I found 24 Thrones for the 24 Elders. Are the 12 Thrones in Matthew part of the 24 in Revelations 4 – or are they different ? We also discussed by 12, if there was only 11 Disciples left, after Judas. I appreciate your Biblical expertise on this question.

My question is in regard to Matthew 24:28: “For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles [vultures] will be gathered together.” Is the carcass Jerusalem during the Great Tribulation and the vultures all the nations that come against her?

My question involves Jeremiah 31:35-36 In this passage God is speaking to Israel saying that He has given the sun, moon, and the sea as an ordinance…(etc) and that if these ordinances should depart from Him, Israel shall also depart from being a nation before Him. Here He is apparently affirming that Israel will remain His chosen nation. And yet that seems to conflict with the fact that during the millennial reign, the sun, moon, and sea will no longer exist, or be visibly functioning. Can you explain this?

Concerning The 144,000 of Rev. 7 and Rev 14. You have said Rev. 7 is referring to the Jewish servants of God and Rev. 14 is the church. If that’s the case, why are the numbers of both 144,000? Thanks for all your help, I have learned more from your website than all my teachings in church.

How can the “rapture” be “imminent”? Acts 3:21 says that Jesus “must” stay in heaven (He is now there with the Father) “until the times of restitution of all things” which includes, says Scofield, “the restoration of the theocracy under David’s Son” which obviously can’t begin before or during Antichrist’s reign. Since Jesus must personally participate in the rapture, and since He can’t even leave heaven before the tribulation ends, the rapture therefore cannot take place before the end of the tribulation.

Can you please clarify two passages in the Bible ? One is in John 8:44 which stated “He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him”. The other verse is in Ezekiel 28:15 which states “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee”. These scriptures are both describing Lucifer are they not? If he was a murderer from the beginning, then how could he have been perfect in all his ways? How can they both be correct?

I have a question about the “Chosen”. The scriptures teach us that all who believe are saved. To me that means anyone has the opportunity to be saved. Christ said when He was lifted up all men would be drawn to Him. To me that means he calls all men to repentance. I know not all respond positively to this call. Some accept and others reject. But what I’m trying to figure out is; Believing in free will opportunity for all, who are the Chosen?

I was watching a secular Archeologist’s TV program and he said, not once, but several times, and seemed to emphasize it each time, that the only secular reference to Jesus as a real, historical person, is found in the works of Josephus. I don’t believe that is so, but I find it difficult to think that a man of his public stature and profession would make such a claim. So, please tell me the facts. Is this man ignoring other secular references to our Lord so as to make such a statement “true”? Or, are there no others of the time who wrote about Jesus?

About three years ago, I went to a praise meeting, and while we prayed, the Lord told me, through a lady, to make an altar in my house. The message was so strong and clear that I had no other alternative but to obey Him. I made the altar. It consists of a small table, and on it I put my Bible. The thing is I adorned it with a picture of the Lord Jesus, some holy water, and a couple of angels. I pray at least twice a day, but when I pray I bow. I do not bow to the picture but because I feel the Lord?s presence when I pray. Am I making a mistake?

My question is: If we were made in God’s image and likeness, then are our bad qualities also from Him? I don’t mean to be disrespectful, I love the LORD, yet the Bible tells of many instances where GOD has wrath, and leads the army of Israel to victory against the other armies. And many are killed. Please help me to understand this side of GOD.

When Jesus calmed the storm, raised the dead, fed the 5,000 with two fish and a loaf of bread was He using divine power or was He relying on the power of the Father in those instances?

I am wondering where bacteria and viruses came from…the creation account gives no level beyond insect life in Gen 1.25 assuming things that creep means insect world, tho they are ugly, God made them, but microscopic world is not mentioned. Why would God make such things dangerous and harmful to life? If he didn’t who did?

If one is living through the tribulation period and dies do they go to heaven to be judged at the time of their death? I guess what I am asking is will believers who die during the tribulation go to heaven while unbelievers who die go to hell awaiting the judgment?

I was reading and came across this verse in Genesis 5:3. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat [a son] in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth. Why is this worded like this?

After Satan’s fall, why did God allow him to deceive Adam and Eve, and to continue to run rampant throughout the earth destroying lives when God could have simply cast him into the lake of fire from the beginning and have it done with, sparing mankind (including Adam and Eve)?

I believe that Jesus paid the penalty for my sin by dying on the cross. But, I was told by a deacon that I have to believe Christ literally “shed his blood” and died to pay the penalty for my sin. My question is, was it both his blood and death that paid the penalty? I’m really confused because I thought I only had to accept his death as full payment.

I have a question regarding myself being a believer and being married to an unbeliever. When I married my husband, I thought that he believed in Jesus as our savior. I hate to admit it but back then we both were not attending church and I didn’t know until we were married 15 years that my husband misled me. He thinks we evolved from Apes. Is my marriage to him a sin? I pray that he will accept Christ and realize his thoughts on evolution is incorrect. Doesn’t Jesus want us to bring people like my husband to him? Re: Destroying Iran? It seems that Israel could very well strike and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities without destroying their capability to wage war with conventional weapons. Wouldn’t an attack by Israel be likely to bring on the attack of Ezekiel 38 rather that thwart it?

I just read an interesting article about the possibilities if Israel was allowed to destroy Iran. It would prevent Persia from acting out her role in Gog and Magog for a generation, taking us beyond this generation that shall not pass before the Second Coming. Thus Israel will be prevented, as no nation can foil God’s prophetic word. Do you agree with this writer’s conclusions?

Let’s say a person fully leans on faith in God thru Jesus Christ, tries not to sin, prays, repents, is baptized, and reliant on Holy Spirit for daily life … also knowing that this life can change at any time according to the end times and God’s will. Yet this person is not sure as to the mechanics or theology surrounding the “rapture”. Will such persons who are following Jesus, still be taken if indeed the rapture is the “reward” for being a believer?

I came to know the Lord in the 1970s and at that time we were taught that the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation were virtually synonymous. Now all the teaching postulates a gap between the Rapture and Tribulation and this troubles me greatly as to what exactly this time period would be called in the nomenclature of dispensations and what would happen to believers in that time period who get saved after the Rapture but before the start of the 70th week. Are they part of the church or of Israel? Or is there something new?
