No Sex In Heaven?

Published: March 30, 2022
Q

You said that there is no sex in Heaven because there is no procreation, however, there is much more to sex than procreation. I can’t imagine going through eternity without the intimacy my wife and I have. The physical contact of cuddling, caressing and our intimate conversations. When we go to Heaven are we to be denied the love that we had for our partner in this life?

Incontinent?

Published: March 29, 2022
Q

I have a question about the meaning of the word “incontinent” with regard to this being one of the characteristics people will exhibit during the last days. Does it refer to the inability to control the urge to urinate, or is there a different meaning when the word is used in scripture? If the meaning is in the conventional sense, how is that relevant? Thank you for enlightening me.

The Holy Spirit In The World

Published: March 29, 2022
Q

The Bible says that when Jesus ascended back to heaven, the Holy Spirit came to earth to act as the comforter to God’s people. Also I understand that He restrains evil till He is removed at the rapture. Knowing this, are we to assume that the earth was only evil completely lacking in love and understanding before the Holy Spirit arrived on the scene?

I’ve been giving a Jewish woman at work some of the questions and prophecy studies from your site and a question came up that I couldn’t answer. Is our Old Testament the same as theirs?

The Four Rivers Of Eden

Q

I am studying in the book of Genesis. Can you give me any insight into the river that went out of Eden, and was parted and became four heads, Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel, and Euphrates? Are there Spiritual and or literal interpretations?

Peter And The Rock

Q

I greatly appreciate your responses to the question asked of you. I was raised Catholic, and know that the Catholic church claims Jesus made Peter the first pope. I know the passage they refer to as their proof of this, but can find no basis for believing that to be the correct interpretation of this passage. How would you respond to this claim?

Faith Plus Works

Published: March 25, 2022
Q

You’ve written that the old testament saints were saved if they died believing that God would fulfill His promise to send the Redeemer (Genesis 12:3). Although they never saw Him, their faith saved them. Perfect, I got it. But you’ve oft times also written that the Holy Spirit deals differently with the church than any other group of people. I believe that too. Therefore OT saints (like post-rapture believers will) had to remain faithful in order to keep their salvation because they are not sealed with the Holy Spirit like church age people are. But doesn’t this imply a works-based salvation rather than a faith-based one? If their faith in the coming Messiah saved them, they shouldn’t have to “work” to keep that salvation.

Are Smoking And Overeating Sins?

Published: March 25, 2022
Q

My friend asked me to write and ask you this question. Is smoking a sin? And is overeating a sin? She is presently trying to quit smoking and she is over indulging in food. She knows that she is eating a lot more than she needs, but was wondering if it is a sin?

Jesus And The Temple

Published: March 25, 2022
Q

My question is about the significance of the temple to Jesus and the disciples. If Jesus said that the Jews had turned his Father’s house into a “house of merchandise” why do we see Jesus going there throughout the gospels. Also, in Acts 3 we see Peter and John going there obviously for the evening sacrifice and prayer. What reason would they have for going there now that Jesus was their final sacrifice?

What If An Adult Has A Sudden Accident?

Published: March 24, 2022
Q

I agree with you on the age of accountability concept but what about a person who’s an adult and hasn’t accepted Jesus in faith gets into an accident and suffers an acquired brain injury and is no longer intellectually competent? What do you think God’s word says about this? I know of no clear position in scripture.
