Baptism And Communion

Published: March 31, 2017
Q

Is there any relationship between Water Baptism and Holy Communion? Where I live certain Pastors warn born again people to refrain from partaking of Holy Communion unless they’ve also taken Water Baptism. As far as I know, there is no Scripture to support this doctrine, and many pastors know this too. Do you have any idea about this teaching?

Critical Misunderstandings

Q

I have been witnessing to a friend who is a lesbian. She feels that since she believes in Jesus she is saved, but I have a problem with that because Satan and demons believe but we know they aren’t saved. Every time Jesus healed someone we know they believed in Him because they had faith He would heal them, yet Jesus told them to go sin no more. Repentance is a big part of salvation and yet some people don’t believe you have to repent to go to heaven. They say John 3:16 says plainly that he that believes in him shall have eternal life. What about repenting?

Abraham And The New Jerusalem

Published: March 30, 2017
Q

I have a question about the inhabitants who will live in New Jerusalem during the millennium and beyond. People say the church, Bride Of Christ, will be those who dwell there. I agree, but a question always tugs away at the back of my mind about the city Abraham was looking forward to as recorded in Hebrews 11:10. “For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God”. There is only one city that I can recall in scripture whose builder and maker would be God, and that’s the New Jerusalem. So, if Church age believers are going to be the only occupants of New Jerusalem, what city is Hebrews 11:10 all about?

Saving Old Testament Saints

Q

What was the criteria for Old Covenant saints to go to Abraham’s bosom? Was it based on their behavior or on faith of the Messiah to come? For instance Lazarus and the rich man; it seems unlikely to me that Lazarus in his state was able to keep all the rituals of the law. However, the rich man very well could have ritually been following the law, but his heart was corrupt. When I look at David, he obviously had a revelation of God’s Grace that leaves me amazed as I am slowly grabbing hold of Grace. Were they only accountable to be obedient for what they understood?

How Can We Differ?

Q

Is it possible for believing Christians who have the Holy Spirit as our Seal, after being baptized and accepting Jesus as our Savior, to read the same portion of scripture and have different opinions about what it says?

Will We Still Be The Same Gender In Heaven?

Published: March 27, 2017
Q

When we are in Heaven, will we still be the same gender as we were here on earth? I understand that there will be no need for procreation in Heaven, therefore, no sexual relations and no need for elimination of waste products, but will we still be man or woman? I assume that Jesus arose as a man and He said we would have bodies like His but what does that mean, will we ALL be men? My wife is already there and I wonder if she will still be a woman as she was here on earth?

Born Out Of Rape, Follow Up

Published: March 21, 2017
Q

Re: Born Out Of Rape. I understand that we are born in this sinful world but I want to know is did God know in advance that my friend was going to be born this way since He is all knowing? Further more, I grew up believing that children are coming from God, then if that is true then I would assume that even our parents were predestined by God to be our parents, so now I want to know if God also chose my friend to be born out of rape?

Marital Strife And The Rapture

Published: March 17, 2017
Q

I married a man in our church a year ago. We have been in so much strife here lately that I have been considering leaving him. I just don’t want to be in strife and miss the Rapture. If I were in strife with my spouse could this cause me to miss the Rapture?

Am I Forgiven Enough?

Published: March 16, 2017
Q

I believe in God and I consider myself a Christian. Jesus is in my heart and I pray for forgiveness every night. But in my past I’ve done some terrible things. Am I forgiven enough to go in the rapture? If so will my toddler come with me? And if she does, will we be in heaven together with her as my child? I have read that our children won’t be our children and we won’t know them anymore. That makes me very sad, is that true?

Are Aborted Babies In heaven?

Published: March 16, 2017
Q

Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” This verse is used to prove that one must be born again to see the Kingdom. But does it not also mean that one must be born the first time? If this is correct, doesn’t it mean that aborted babies are not in heaven?
