In your recent Parable of the Unmerciful Servant post I was wondering what the jail symbolized in the parable? You mentioned that you believe the jailer is Satan.

Are the Saints higher than Angels?

Published: July 4, 2015
Q

I’d like to know for sure if the Saints/Saved/Redeemed Children of God are higher than angels and what are some scriptures (if any) that indicate that we are and have authority over Angels. Thank you!

Why is Sunday the first day of the week? Is it the same in the Old Testament?

Why Do We Need The Law?

Published: July 3, 2015
Q

People are accepting Jesus, both Jew & gentile without obedience to a law that was done away with. I have a hard time with the law being reestablished again, when it’s no longer needed for anything. Every time someone reads it a veil goes over their eyes.

Now I realize I don’t know it all but explain this to me.  Why would God do away with the Law and turn us to grace as the only way to be saved, without any type of performance, and then cast that aside and start over with law again and obedience to it and to Jesus?

God is Good, and we aren’t.  It is time we accept that and quit pretending that we can do something that is pleasing to God other than accepting His Son as the only acceptable sacrifice for our sins.

More On Eternal life

Published: July 2, 2015
Q

John 17: 3 gives the meaning of eternal life as defined by Jesus. “And this is eternal life, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

In my study I looked up “know” and it means to know absolutely, completely, not limited, “life” means to live, breathe, rational immortal soul,  and “eternal” means perpetual, past present future..forever.

Do you believe we know God absolutely when we become His?

Thinking You Are Saved But Aren’t?

Published: July 2, 2015
Q

In one of your recent posts, you said some people who think they are saved will learn that they really aren’t. This really concerns me because I do not understand how one can believe they are saved but really aren’t.  I do not want to be one of those people. I confessed Christ as my savior and asked him to save me and I want salvation and his kingdom more than anything and was sincere when I asked him.  What does it mean for someone to believe they are but really aren’t?

Why do you believe that God allowed so many Jews to be killed in the holocaust?

The Rapture And The Anti-Christ

Q

What view do you hold based on Scripture with regard to the amount of time that may lapse between the Rapture and the revealing of Antichrist? Dave Hunt spoke convincingly of a very short duration between the two events. What say you?

More Forgiveness

Published: July 2, 2015
Q

This past weekend I heard a wonderful TV sermon on forgiveness. I have been struggling with a certain person and situation for about 15 years and had no desire to forgive him because he continually hurt me emotionally. Praise God, at the end of the program I was able to raise my hands, ask God for forgiveness and then to forgive those I felt had hurt me. The lifting of the burden was instantaneous and I am at such peace. My question is: Do I need to get in touch with the people I have forgiven or is that forgiveness between me and God?

Thank you for your insight and God Bless you for your wonderful teaching!

More On Jephthah And His Daughter

Published: July 2, 2015
Q

We were doing a bible study on book of judges 11 about Jephthah’s daughter.  This caused a debate. Some said that it could have been her virginity that was taken or some other sacrifice, not necessarily Jephthah killing his daughter.  In a recent post you said it was an abomination to the Lord to do that so therefore unlawful. Could you please clarify what actually happened.  Did Jephthah sacrifice his daughter?
