OSAS And 1 Timothy 4

Published: June 19, 2015
Q

In 1 Timothy 4:1, it says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith. Some teachers that I listen to believe this is proof that true believers can walk away from their faith and lose their salvation. Then they mention the perseverance of the saints. I believe that if you are a true believer that you will persevere even though you will not be perfect and will still sin.

Concerned About My Husband

Q

I’m quite concerned for my husbands personal relationship with The Lord he says he’s a Christian and he believes in The Lord and he’s never given up but at times it seems he is so far off the rails I understand he’s been hurt in churches by others and he’s been thru tough times I find it hard to discern if he’s saved or not ( times he’s blamed God for things) what do I do in this situation because we have children and my deep desire is that they grow up in a Christian home please pray for us that my husband will come back to The Lord if he has strayed.

Who Would Have Come After Cain?

Q

When Cain was marked from being harmed, who were the people that were coming against him. I ask because if Eve were was birthing all these people she could only bear one child a year till she died. Possibly have several multiple births. Not sure how long she lived but she may have had 600-800 children in her life.

Children Taking The Mark

Published: June 18, 2015
Q

How can we reconcile the fact that those lacking the intellectual capacity (young kids, mentally handicapped) are saved by default, while anyone taking the mark receives eternal damnation? Can it be possible for these people to have parents/caregivers tell them to get marked?

Looking For A Way Out?

Q

I have a question about marriage. I have seem to be at the end of the rope with mine. This is my second marriage and I am emotionally overwhelmed. To make a long story short, my husband has an addiction to pain meds. He is verbally abusive, lazy, irresponsible, a liar, and an addict. I have forgiven many times before but I feel drained. I do not think I can move forward with this marriage.

Since God hates divorce, do you think it’s my Father’s will that I stay in a relationship that is not healthy for either me or my children and continue with my faith in the Lord for my husband’s deliverance? What if he doesn’t want to be delivered? Is it wrong for me to want to leave him?

I want so much to please God but I am not happy. Everyday is a struggle and I can not see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know the Lord sees motive, and I fear that my motive is not to help my husband by leaving, but rather to put an end to the unhappiness that I feel around him.

Created In The Image Of God

Published: June 17, 2015
Q

I just want to say that I love your site and get great strength from reading your articles. The question about God’s image throws people of because an image is what we see and identify with. I agree that Adam was the only man, before the fall, created in God’s image spiritually.

Some would say what about Jesus, but he wasn’t created in God’s image, he was God in flesh. John said it was not clear what we shall be like, but that when He (Jesus) appears we will be like him. My question is: Do you think Adam was, what we shall become, before he fell.

Still More On the Mark Of The Beast

Published: June 17, 2015
Q

I read the below piece recently, and it seemed to link with your thoughts regarding Satan’s activities before the flood, in interfering with the genes of animals.

“The mark of the Beast in the book of Revelation could be the key. Anyone who takes this mark can no longer be saved according to scripture. This mark may include an implanted bio-chip and/or a genetic altering that in some way changes the human genetic code from being made in the image of God into being transformed to an image of Satan. Thus, they are forever disqualified for salvation through the Kinsman Redeemer that God chose to save the human race (Jesus).”

What are your thoughts?

Can Illness Have A Demonic Component?

Published: June 17, 2015
Q

Can the illness of a Christian be caused by Demonic oppression? If so it could make a difference in how we pray for deliverance. I would like your take on this, especially in the light of Scripture. I have been suffering from a debilitating illness that has not really responded to my prayers or the many who are praying for me. Wondering if maybe this could be a cause.

Sacrifice Or Exchange?

Published: June 17, 2015
Q

I praise God I have you to go to when I lack wisdom. You’ve been a great help. I was reading one of your writings that explained our salvation is based on what we believe, not how we behave, and that leading a life of sacrifice was man’s idea, not God’s. If that’s the case what does it mean to deny ourselves and take up our Cross and follow Him, and also Romans 12:1, which says to offer ourselves as living sacrifices. What am I missing here?

The Four Gentile Kingdoms

Published: June 16, 2015
Q

My question is this. When King Nebuchadnezzar had his dream, (Daniel Chapter 2) Daniel interpreted the dream as representing the 4 great kingdoms with Babylon being the greatest. I admit I don’t know my history all that well, however, how did the the remaining 3 get lined up with the Medo-Persian empire, Greek empire and the Roman empire? I am wondering how those lined up as opposed to, say, the Chinese Dynasty which was also a great empire.
