O You Of Little Faith, Follow Up

Published: October 4, 2008
Q

I read your writings at Rapture Ready and I love them. Your passion for the coming of our Lord is wonderful. Like you I keep my eyes heavenward at all times and I am eager to see Him face to face.

I am writing in response to your article today regarding faith and healing.

As a person who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when I was but two years old, I can tell you that faith in Christ’s desire to heal is not always met with the results we would like. I have been praying and thanking God for my healing since 1993. And I am but one of many thousands of believers who believe God wants to see us well and who have not been giving the answer we are so hungry for.

I suggest you spend a bit more time listening to people like us and revisiting the idea before suggesting that the only reason someone is sick is because of their lack of faith. Need I remind you that all anyone needs is faith the size of a mustard seed?

More On Enoch And Elijah

Published: October 4, 2008
Q

I read your answer on Enoch and Elijah being raptured. This is scriptural, so I have no problem with that. My problem lies with how could God have them in His presence? If God cannot have sin in His presence, and both these men lived before Messiah came to make atonement, then how could they be in heaven (bodily) with God while still in a sinful, human state? Would they be in heaven, but away from God’s presence, which (to me) is impossible as He is everywhere.

Jesus As An Observant Jew

Published: October 3, 2008
Q

Acts 3:1 has Peter and John going to the temple for prayer. From this I assume that they no longer participated in the animal sacrifices at the temple because of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice for us on Calvary’s cross. The disciples, however, must have participated in the animal sacrifices prior to the crucifixion. But did Jesus, as an observant Jew, also participate in the sacrifice? He did not need any forgiveness but did he do it in order to “fulfill all righteousness” as he said to John at his baptism?

How Close Are We?

Q

Lately I discovered in a few of your answers to people’s various questions (in the “Ask a Bible Teacher” section) that you imply that the rapture is near. What is your opinion about the possible time frame till the rapture (besides that it can happen any day)? Thanks your help!

Beginning Of The Fall?

Published: October 2, 2008
Q

I just watched our president try to explain why we are in this financial mess and then say the government is ready to bail us out. $700 billion that’s with a B, is what their talking… How do you see this fitting into bible prophecy? I know that the writing was on the wall but what can we as Christians do in a time like this? I know we are not to worry because Christ Himself told us not to. Is this the beginning of the fall of this country and can this be the open door to the U.S. relying on the EU for sustenance?

Is Germany Changing Sides?

Published: October 1, 2008
Q

For years now I have always wondered how people could consider Gomer in Ezekiel 38 to be Germany. After all Germany was a Nato Allie and not a friend of Russia. Then I read a headline on Debkafiles that says “Russia, China, Germany reject US evidence of Iran’s covert nuke program “. Can we say the puzzle is coming together when two bitter enemies join together against the US?

The Return Of The Nephilim?

Published: September 28, 2008
Q

I was reading about a new book on (a popular Christian news service) that cites the Book of Enoch, concerning the return of the Nephilim, possibly this year. I do not know if Enoch had written any book, but I can’t help wondering. Enoch supposedly says that at the 70 generations of 70 years is set to expire. What are your thoughts on this theory, and the Book of Enoch?

More On The Rapture And Rosh Hashanna

Published: September 28, 2008
Q

I believe that the rapture is imminent, but since God is not restricted by time, He will use the date of the rapture to His advantage, making the allotted number of Gentiles coming into the Kingdom as secondary. What do I mean by this? I believe that God intends to use the Rapture as a means to move some of His Jewish people to make a decision for Christ. By God taking action on another Jewish event, such as Rosh Hashana, just as He did in the past, would send a shockwave through the Jewish community. Although most will still follow the AntiChrist, many will “see the light”.

Were Enoch And Elijah Raptured?

Published: September 27, 2008
Q

We were discussing in our Sunday School class Abraham’s Bosom. Most of the class understands that before Jesus paid for all of our sins on the cross, no one could be with God in Heaven. Therefore the Old Testament saints went into Abraham’s Bosom to await their redemption which happened at Jesus’ resurrection.

Then someone asked about Enoch and Elijah as it is generally believed that they were translated, without dying, into heaven. Is heaven where they went?

Who Should We Vote For?

Published: September 26, 2008
Q

There are many opinions about what Christians should do in voting this year. Many writers present and past point out that there is not a lot of difference between the parties and that we are looking at voting for the lesser of two evils.

One writer said, God is putting in place the President of His choice (whoever that is, as He “raises up kings and puts down kings” according to His plan). Another has said we can’t make the changes needed in America at the top, we’ve got to make the changes locally and this will finally reach the top. In light of watching all that is going on with the economic situation and watching things happen that were written about back in the 60s and 70s when the American people were warned to wake up and see what was going on then, it appears we are reaping the results of what we have not done regarding govenment issues. I know we are to pray for guidance, but in looking at the candidates, we don’t have anyone to vote for. So do we just not vote? Please help us.
