Matt. 24:40-42. Rapture Or 2nd Coming?

Published: August 24, 2013 (Originally published: August 24, 2013)
Q

First of all, thank you so much for your ministry. My question is pertaining to Matthew 24. I believe as you do that this chapter is addressed to Israel and regards the 70th week of Daniel. I’m a bit confused about verses 40 – 42. It sounds rapture like in its description of two together and one taken but according to verse 29 it happens after the tribulation. Is this part of the gathering that the angels do in verse 31 or is it something altogether different?

No unbelievers When The Millennium Begins?

Published: August 16, 2013 (Originally published: August 16, 2013)
Q

Please clarify your statement that ‘at the beginning of the Millennium the unbelievers would be removed from the earth’ – can you give the scripture for that? As I understand it, the believers, who have been raptured previous to those thousand years, will return at the beginning of them with Christ to rule and get rid of the evil. Where am I going wrong?

Borders Of The Promised Land. Follow Up

Re: The Borders Of The Promised Land. You said,”When you consider the several passages contained in Scripture that define the Promised Land, the best guide for determining its borders is to use the Euphrates River in the North, the River of Egypt (Wadi al Arish) in the South, the Mediterranean in the West and the Jordan River in the East.”

Where is the Jordan River stated as the Eastern border? And what about the tribes that stayed on the East side of the river?

Brave Soldiers Consigned to Hell

Published: August 12, 2014 (Originally published: August 11, 2014)
Q

Last night I couldn’t sleep because I was thinking about those brave IDF soldiers who have died in Operation Protection Edge so far. Now obviously if they were all Messianic Jews, then they will forever be with our Lord, but what about those who never came to Yeshua because of whatever reason? What happens to them? These brave men (and/or women) died not just for their country Israel—they died while protecting the Jewish people, who, despite themselves are still God’s Chosen People. I cannot bear the thought that our Loving Father would consign these brave ones a place along with the wicked. Would you please shed some light from the Word of God for me regarding this one?

What is Amillennialism?

Published: August 13, 2014 (Originally published: August 12, 2014)
Q

It seems to me that more well-known non-denominational preachers are shifting towards Amillennialism teaching. I have even heard some preachers say that some seminaries take this stance. I cannot find anything in the Bible that supports their perspective. How could they believe that Satan is already bound and we are living in the 1000 year reign of Christ? Or am I completely misunderstanding what Amillenialism is?

Peace And Safety?

Published: August 17, 2014 (Originally published: August 12, 2014)
Q

I have a question and thought for you on 1 Thes. 5:3 “Peace and Safety”. From what we are seeing in Israel right now it does not look like it can go from war to Peace and Safety. That is what Israel is fighting for. We are seeing everybody around Israel getting into wars and rumors of wars. My question is of the context of the statement have I missed something to think at this point it can go from bad to worse at a moments notice?

Will Post Rapture Believers Observe Communion?

Published: August 14, 2014 (Originally published: August 13, 2014)
Q

After communion last Sunday, I was wondering if those who are saved after the rapture of the church will be participating in this remembrance of the Lord’s death, or if it is just for the church age saints. In 1 Cor. 11:26 it says do this until He comes – is this referring to rapture or 2nd coming?

Why Warn Us If We Won’t Be Here?

Published: August 5, 2014 (Originally published: August 5, 2014)
Q

The church being gone, does not mean there will be no tribulation for Christians. The church being gone means that in order for the anti-christ to rule, the church must be gone, and Christ proven FALSE. The AntiChrist will perform miracles, die and raise up, just as Christ, and because of this people will believe in this new “Religion” of the AntiChrist. And if there was going to be a PRE rapture, why does Christ consistently warn us not take the mark of the beast?

Rapture Hostility

Published: August 5, 2014 (Originally published: August 6, 2014)
Q

Any idea why the doctrine of the rapture causes such hostility in Christians? I believe in the pre Trib rapture because as you so eloquently point out, the Bible supports it. But if someone believes otherwise, so be it. Our salvation isn’t based on our rapture or any doctrinal beliefs other than total faith in Jesus to stand in for us. Why is the rapture so upsetting? Some Christians seem moved to threats and I really don’t get it at all. Why all the hate mail about something designed to give us comfort?

Living In The Millennium. Follow up

Published: August 8, 2014 (Originally published: August 7, 2014)
Q

In the answer to your recent question “Living in the Millennium”, you state that the only people allowed in the New Jerusalem would be those who’s names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. As a result, you say, the Old Testament saints would come back and live on the earth in Israel, not in Heaven because their names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life which is reserved for the Church.

My question is why are the Church the only names written in the Book of Life? When Jesus went to the cross, he sacrificed himself for all sinners, past, present, and future. I thought the Book of Life contained the name of those who have been redeemed by the blood of The Lamb, thus including the old testament saint and giving them access to live eternally in heaven with the Lord?
