Isaiah 17 And The Rapture

Published: July 27, 2006 (Originally published: July 27, 2006)
Q

What is your opinion concerning the timing of the Rapture and Isaiah 17? Specifically, the Bible tells us that the rapture will occur as in the days of Noah and Lot. People will be going about their “normal” lives.

If Damascus is destroyed prior to the rapture, as some believe it will be, how will the world be anything but “normal” knowing that a nuclear detonation has taken place in the world? People will be in a panic mode. It will not be “normal?”

Literal Babylon Or The US?

Published: July 31, 2006 (Originally published: July 31, 2006)
Q

A discussion about the involvement of America in the End Times scenario came up and we were looking at Revelation 18. In this discussion, some felt that the U.S. fits the description given to Babylon.

With the number of abortions numbering in the tens of millions, the fight to take God out of everything, and the emasculation of objective moral values, it does make sense that our sins have reached up into heaven as verse 5 mentions.

I would greatly appreciate any insight into this discussion. Do you believe the U.S. fits Babylon or do you have a better country in mind?

Is Javier Solana The Anti Christ?

Published: July 31, 2006 (Originally published: July 31, 2006)
Q

Revelation 13:18 says, “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”

I understand that in the Jewish alphabet, each letter has a number also. There are many in these last days, who think Javier Solana is the anti-Christ in the making. Does his name add up to 666? I also read that the EU presidency used to rotate every 6 months. But resolution 666 made Solana the president. What do you think?

I just recently found your website and I want to thank you for answering some hard questions for us. God bless you.

The New Jerusalem

Published: August 1, 2006 (Originally published: August 1, 2006)
Q

Referring to the New Jerusalem; I’ve had this thought that we would be inside it, as if it was a mansion or something that we actually live in. In ‘How Many Christians Are There?’, a recent question you answered, it sounds like we live on it’s surface, like a planet.

Does the Bible clarify this anywhere?

Confrontation With Syria?

Published: January 21, 2015 (Originally published: August 1, 2006)
Q

From the Israeli side there are some that are able to see that indeed Israel will have to attack Syria with some extreme right-wing Zionists insisting that the sooner this is done the better.

Efraim Inbar, for example, an Israeli academic with neoconservative connections in the US and who advises the Israeli government, told Aljazeera.net “I advocate attacking Syria – to some extent we are wasting ammunition in Lebanon.” When asked if the peace process is now dead he replied, “Forget about it, it’s over.” Whether or not Inbar was privy to the Israeli government’s long term plans to attack Lebanon is not known, though, had he had any input to such planning, he would clearly have advocated taking on Syria as well or attacking Syria directly.

Daniel’s 70 Weeks

Published: July 22, 2006 (Originally published: July 22, 2006)
Q

Why are the first 69 of Daniel’s 70 weeks split into two parts of 7 and 62, respectively? Is there any significance with regard to that split? In other words, why isn’t it just mentioned as 69 weeks? I can’t help thinking there may be some significance, particularly with the number 7.

The Destruction Of Damascus

Published: July 24, 2006 (Originally published: July 24, 2006)
Q

Hal Lindsey wrote an article where he confirms your earlier prediction about the destruction of Damascus happening prior to the Rapture.

My question is, if Damascus is destroyed by Israel, how can the Ezekiel 38 come to pass, as Israel is described as a city without walls, etc? Does this have to do with the anti-Christ’s peace accord? Somehow Israel must think that nobody will bother them. At the present time, Russia, Iran, and Syria have made a pact. How could Israel not see Ezekiel 38 coming a mile away?

The Beginning Of The End?

Published: July 24, 2006 (Originally published: July 24, 2006)
Q

I have learned a lot from your website and have another question for you.

With all of the events happening in Israel right now, do you think this is the ‘beginning of the end’ and that we should be following it closely? I have heard people say that it will set off the end time course of events. What is your take on this? Will all of this blow over or is this something that is quite serious with end time prophecy?

Thanks for your time and all you do!

How Many Christians Are There?

Published: July 24, 2006 (Originally published: July 24, 2006)
Q

I have a question relating to the reported size of the New Kingdom or new earth that the Church will inhabit. You stated that it will be 1400 miles tall and wide. The way I see it is that it is not very big. Perhaps close to 1/8 the size of the earth? But from other descriptions there is also supposed to be plenty of room for everyone.

I guess what I am getting at is that it seems to me that this all appears to look like there won’t be all that many people that make it there. Are there really that few born again Christians in the world?

Also, where does this measure come from? I ask this question only because when I tell people this they question where this is found in the Bible. You and your website have been such a blessing-solid-honest- everything I have looked for to go along with my own studies. Thank you and may God Bless You for your efforts.

What About Lebanon?

Published: July 24, 2006 (Originally published: July 24, 2006)
Q

I thought I’d do a search on Lebanon in the Bible. Aside from the many verses that speak of the beauty, trees, and smell of Lebanon, etc., there are about 10 that seem to portend trouble for the little country. We would enjoy whatever commentary you wish to make.
