Not Peace But A Sword
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 30, 2016)Why does the bible say that Jesus came to save the world and not condemn it but also Jesus says He didn’t come to bring peace but a sword turning son against father, etc?
Praying For Guidance
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 30, 2016)First thank you for your website and your wisdom, which is why I write. I have been mulling over some personal issues in my life and I’ve been praying for guidance and wisdom but I don’t seem to find the answers I’m looking for. Is there any advice you can give me as to how I can listen for God’s counsel in these matters? I’m trying to avoid my own meddling and instead allow HIS grace to guide me, but I worry I’m unsuccessful. I appreciate your advice on this matter and look forward to your response.
Is The Bible Only For Believers?
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 29, 2016)My question is this, does 1 Cor. 10:13 apply to non-Christians? I have a relative that is going through some very difficult times and has contemplated suicide. He is a non-believer (I pray everyday for his salvation) and wonders if this verse is ever wrong. I explained that I believe this verse can never be wrong because God’s word is never wrong. But I also told him that I don’t know if this verse applies to non-Christians. I’m a believer and this verse has rang true on every occasion in my life. I know this book was written to the Christians in Corinth so my thought is it only applies to Christians. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Who Goes Where And When?
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 29, 2016)I recently read your article about the pre trib rapture in which you seemed to indicate that all the people with the exception of Israel will either be destroyed or cast off the earth after the rapture. Perhaps I read it wrong. If not what about the tribulation saints?
Pig’s Blood On The Altar?
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 29, 2016)Does the Bible verify that pig blood was once offered on the altar?
Was It a Command?
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 28, 2016)I am little bit confused regarding the word “GO” in Matt.28:19. because one of our pastors keeps on insisting that the word “GO” is not a word of command. We have been arguing on this matter because I beleive that the word “GO” in that particular verse is a word of command. Please make it clear for us.
Do We All Have To Be Walking With The Lord?
Published: June 27, 2016 (Originally published: June 28, 2016)Did I understand you to say the Lord must call all who are born again but have strayed away back to faith before the rapture? If so then we are in for a very long wait. And I’m afraid that means the rapture won’t be anytime soon. And neither will the 1948 generation live to see the second coming, as they will be long dead by the time all who have strayed are called back to faith. In fact I think I’ve read the opposite on your site, that born again believers are turning to the world and false prophets at an alarming rate during the last days. Did I misunderstand you?
Guarding The Throne Of God
Published: June 26, 2016 (Originally published: June 27, 2016)I was reading your bible study titled “The Origin of Evil” where you state: “Satan’s original role was to head up the squadron of Cherubim who guard the Throne of God.” That sentence struck me odd and I can’t quite wrap my mind around it. In heaven and at the Throne of God, the holiest and most powerful place in existence where evil and nothing like it had ever existed before (I assume), who or what was the squadron of Cherubim guarding the throne from? Was there truly a threat of danger?
Abraham and Isaac (The Gospel in Genesis Part 1)
Published: June 25, 2016 (Originally published: June 25, 2016)Is This A Good time To Be Having Children?
Published: June 22, 2016 (Originally published: June 27, 2016)My husband and I are Christians and try to seek God’s will for our lives. We’ve been married a few years now and have recently began talking (and praying) about starting a family. If all these terrible events are right around the corner, are we unwise to bring innocent children into this world?
How Can I Be Sure I’m Born Again?
Published: June 22, 2016 (Originally published: June 26, 2016)I want to personally thank you again for your wonderful ministry and the spiritual guidance you impart in the articles you present on scripture.
My question is one that has concerned me for a long time and perhaps many of our other brothers and sisters out there. The question relates to a subject you recently talked about on being born again. How do you know for sure that you’ve been born again even though you’ve continually asked the lord to come into your heart, repent of your sins, and fully believe the gospel, in that the lord was born of a virgin, was crucified dead and buried and then rose again on the third day, was seen by many and ascended into heaven and reigns at the right hand of God-almighty and until his greatly anticipated return. This in spite of the fact that I continue to sin in areas that I wouldn’t think a true Christian would sin.
The scary thing for me is if it has only been a superficial belief all along based on an intellectual belief of our lord and savior. Then when we stand in front of our lord he will say I never knew you! This is a question I have never seen addressed in our own church and on many of the Christian broadcasts and would then put into doubt the question on OSAS since you thought you were saved but in fact you were not. I would love to hear your insight on this since you yourself didn’t feel you were born again until much later in your own Christian walk.
Are Women Preachers Permitted?

Rapture References
Published: June 21, 2016 (Originally published: June 22, 2016)A Bible Study by Jack Kelley
Recently I was challenged to make a list of all the passages in the Bible that hint of a pre-trib rapture. As you may know I believe Paul was the first person on Earth to present a clear pre-trib teaching, about 20 years after the cross.
Is Enoch One Of The Two Witnesses?
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 26, 2016)Re: Hebrews 9:27: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
This verse makes me think that it will be Enoch in the tribulation, not Moses. If these witnesses die in the tribulation like the Bible says then Moses would have died twice and Enoch not at all. If it is Enoch then everyone that has ever lived would have died once. what do you think?
Did We All Come From Noah’s Sons?
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 26, 2016)I understand Genesis 11 says in reference to the Tower of Babel that: “So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel –because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.” Was this a case in which God scattered them instantaneously across the earth? If not, how was this accomplished? How did Adam & Eve’s descendants multiply AND cross major bodies of waters to populate other entirely new/unpopulated areas?
Also, how can other races, i.e. Native Americans, Asians, be attributed to Noah’s children? If not Noah’s children, then where did they start? I know that the world’s languages originated at the Tower of Babel, but I’m wondering where and when skin colors and unique physical attributes of the worlds races came to be. On top of all this, time for the creation of their own cultures, seemingly void of the God of the Jewish tradition, all in around 6,000 years. I know it’s an involved question, but any insight would be a huge help and much appreciated.
What Does “Dead In Christ” Mean?
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 25, 2016)I have a question about 1 Thes. 4:16-18. From this it appears that the ‘dead in Christ’ are sleeping until the Lord comes to resurrect them at the time of the Rapture and unite them with their glorified bodies. I have always heard that the souls of the ‘dead in Christ ‘ are with Him or held apart in a place of paradise awaiting the Rapture or the Second coming. 1 Thess. 4:16 seems to contradict this. It appears that they are being held in the grave.
Different Doctrines
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 25, 2016)Can you explain why different doctrines are being taught in churches rather than from the Bible itself. For example you teach from the Word of God and use cross references to what was said in the Word. You also give two or three scriptures that confirm what you are teaching. But we all see different churches saying what they’re teaching is doctrine but then give their opinion in contrast the truth. Is this a sign of the times we are in?
OSAS And 1 Tim. 4:16
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 25, 2016)Could you please explain the significance of 1 Tim 4:16, to OSAS? In this verse, it seems Paul is speaking to those in ministry, and it does appear he is saying that they must make certain they keep their own salvation as well as that of those they are teaching by what they are teaching. It would seem from what is being said in previous verses that these leaders are saved, but could be in danger of losing it (salvation) through wrong teaching, as well as their recipients not receiving it. If anyone can give a clear understanding and clarity to this, I believe you can.
Does God Give People Illness And Tragedy?
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 24, 2016)Does God put insanity on people to humble them today? It seems this was God’s judgment on Nebuchadnezzar, but only after warning him and giving him 12 months to repent. Does God put illness and tragedy on people to get their attention, teach them or break them in this present age? That doesn’t seem consistent with what Jesus did when He was on the earth – He healed all who were oppressed of the devil and never made anyone sick. I know these claims have come from other commentators, but I would love to know what you would say to them.
Jesus And Lucifer
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 24, 2016)One thing we had wondered was, since the OT is so full of struggling twins and brothers: Cain and Abel, Esau and Jacob, etc., do you think that Lucifer and Yeshua were closer brothers in Heaven? Well, of course, as sons of Yahweh, they were brothers, but it seems there is more to this than meets the eye.
Also, I have trouble believing that we’re all going to be “raptured” and whisked off to heaven. Since there is no mention of the word “rapture” at all, some have interpreted this concept of meeting Him in the air as only for the chosen 144,000 (martyrs slain for Him) who will reign with Him (or serve as judges for mankind). When Yeshua said that the meek will inherit the earth, we take it to mean that His kingdom will be established on earth when it is restored to its former paradise under Yahweh’s Law.
Ezekiel 36 And The Church
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 23, 2016)Is the prophecy of the dry bones (Ezekiel 36:35-37) specifically about Israel, or does it also pertain to the church? How is this linked if at all??? I really want to know the truth. At this point, I think this is purely a prophecy concerning Israel, but I know too, that a lot of the Old testament mirror the things to come. One other question, How do we choose Christ and the gift of Salvation? Do we choose or does He do all the choosing for us?
Do You Love Me?

Confessing Past Sins
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 22, 2016)What does the Bible say about a person’s past sins? What I mean is, I know that I am forgiven through my faith in Jesus and that God does not hold my sins against me any longer, but what about humans- what about the church? I am currently going through a situation where an ex-friend wants to tell the church of my past so that the heat can be taken off of her current sinning lifestyle. She knows that I have had experience in the area that she is sinning, and because she is feeling like people are judging her for her sins she wants to tell them about my past.
My fear is that I will be judged for my past- judged for sins that I have committed without seeing that I am a changed woman. So far she has not mentioned anything, but I am wondering if I need to confess my past sins to our mutual friends now or do I wait and see if she says anything then talk with them about it. Right now she says I’m denying my sin to others because I refuse to be revealing of my past to others. Like I said- this is all stemming from the fact that she confessed her sins and now is feeling the heat from the reactions of those around her. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much for your time!
Reliable Commentaries

Every commentary I can get a hold of picks and chooses what parts of the bible to believe. Thank you very much for your help in this matter.
Ezekiel 38 And Isaiah 17
Published: June 20, 2016 (Originally published: June 21, 2016)Do you think that Isaiah 17 will be fulfilled at the same time as the Battle of Ezekiel 38-39?
Isaiah 17:4 says that the glory of Jacob (Israel) will fade and his fat will waste away so it seems like Israel will become weak. But in verse 7, it says that they will turn back to God, matching with Ezekiel 38-39.
What do you make of this prophecy?
