Is there an in-depth explanation of why the serpent would not have enticed Eve to eat of the Tree of Life instead of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? It seems to me that by eating of the Tree of Life first, it would have canceled the result of death from eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Also, if at once realizing the effect from eating of the “knowledge” tree, shouldn’t they have immediately been desperate to eat of the “life” tree to nullify the curse?
I believe in forgiveness even if an apology hasn’t been extended. How do I respond, without sounding pompous, to people who say they can forgive someone’s offense but they’ll never “forget”. I believe if we don’t let it go and forget it, we haven’t really forgiven and therefore still carry a burden of unforgiveness in our heart.
Do you ever get the feeling that born again believers should try to focus more effort on so-called believers in name only instead of trying to reach “sinners”? Seems like an even more difficult task to me, but I ask because with the nearness of the rapture. I can’t imagine a more surprised, disappointed, and terrified group than they will be after the rapture.
I was recently talking to someone I know about Christianity and my friend said to me that he can’t keep up with all these made up things from Santa Claus to the Easter bunny and even the tooth fairy. How do I respond to this? How can I show Jesus to be the one true thing in all this?
When Peter denied the Lord and cursed, was he saved? He had already declared Jesus the Messiah so I would assume he was. Did he have the Holy Ghost? After the resurrection, he was strong in his faith even unto death. What made him stronger than before?
Please help me understand the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit in the new testament. I have studied and am a bit confused over this. My pastor is determined to call him the Holy Spirit, and yet the “Spirit” like a dove descended on Jesus, and then there is the fruit of the “Spirit” yet the gift of the Holy Ghost … see what I mean? I have I believe some understanding but would encourage your input.
We’ve been reading your website for a few months now and we’ve learned a great deal about current events and how they relate to Biblical prophecy. We also enjoy your writing style and indepth approach to studying the Scriptures. My question is this: I know that before Jesus died for us, no one could go to heaven and be in the presence of God. Where did Enoch go when he was translated, and where did Elijah go when he was taken up into heaven? God bless you. We pray for you often.
What did you mean in your MP-3 study of Gospel of Mark when you said: “They are on the right side of Easter, but on the wrong side of Pentecost” in reference to Christians who bear no fruit? I thought by definition if you have no spirit in you (i.e. on the wrong side of Pentecost), you are not a Christian.
