In light of current headlines I was wondering if there is a link between the destruction of Damascus prophesied in Isa 17:1 and the battle of Ezek 38 lead by Iran? I find it very interesting that Iran has placed their National Security Adviser in Damascus. Is there any scripture that puts the timing of the two prophesies close together?

In Acts 8 : 3 we see Saul persecuting believers in Christ and sending them to prison. What legal authority did he have to do this? What is the main reason why he did this ?

I was speculating, could the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 possibly be after or during the tribulation? That particular scripture passage is hard to understand as well, so do you have a posted article concerning it?

Re: Amos 1:6-7. I first discovered this scripture about the time I discovered the scripture about the destruction of Damascus. Is this part of the Psams 83 prophecy about the defeat of Egypt and the destruction of Damascus? Isn’t Jordan a part of this as well and Amman Jordan destroyed at this time? The last article concerning the Ezek 38 invasion you said a few things had to be in place before it could come about, like the Northern African nations and Turkey’s stand, also that Israel had to be dwelling safely (or carelessly, depending on the translation).

My question is, with regards to the current happenings with Israel, Syria, Lebanon, what would you say were the chances that we might see Isaiah 17 fulfilled first and very soon.. which in turn might put the last conditions in place to kick off Ezek 38?

After a possible nuclear situation between Israel and Damascus, might the UN and/or EU step in to make a peace-like situation? Not to mention if Israel takes Damascus out, those other Moslem nations Ezek named as well as Turkey would be more favorable to lining up against Israel? And if we the Church were Raptured around the time of this Isaiah 17 deal, that would effectively neutralize he US and pave the road for Russia and Iran to ‘think the evil thought’ as God said. My question is regarding the timing for the fulfillment of the prophecy contained in Isaiah 17. While I agree with the position that the prophecy awaits a future fulfillment, I often wonder about a possible fulfillment during battle of Armageddon or at the end of the millennium. Although quite possible, conventional weaponry would probably not cause the city to become a heap of ruins in the manner Isaiah 17:1 describes whereas a nuclear explosion would. That being the case and given the current situation in Syria, do you foresee a nuclear exchange between middle eastern nations prior to the rapture of the church and the 70th week of Daniel?

I am puzzled by the current world situation if soon the prophesy of the Ezekiel war or about Damascus will taken place.

However, if the Ezekiel war or what was prophesied about Damascus will take place in the not too distant future, then when is in your opinion the rebuilding of the city of Babylon will take place, in the time table of end time scenario, in such away to prepare the city for the end time scenario of Zec 5:11?

I was at a Sunday school class and asked the question, did Paul ever meet Jesus? The answer I got from the group was no. On the road to Damascus Paul met Jesus after he had ascended into heaven. Was Jesus’s appearance physical or spiritual? Please give us some insight.
