Were Pilate And His Wife Saved?

Published: April 3, 2013
Q

Were Pilate and his wife saved after the death of Jesus? And what was the purpose of his wife receiving the dream? My friend says it was the Romans who killed Jesus and she is right but it was the Jews who betrayed him and in that sense the Jews killed him. How does one answer the question?

Will God Hate Me If I Get a Divorce?

Published: April 2, 2013
Q

I have a question about divorce. What happens if you get a divorce and remarry in the future? The Bible says that adulterers will not see the kingdom of God so does that mean if a believer gets a divorce and remarries that they are no longer saved and that God is done with them? Does God then hate them? would He rather watch a married couple tear each other apart and be in His will for marriage than have them apart? I am deeply confused. All I know is that for many reasons I don’t want to be with my husband but I also don’t want to loose God. What can I do?

Are The Meteorites A Sign?

Published: April 2, 2013
Q

I was doing a study on something else the other day and my eyes fell on Revelation 13:13. I kept on thinking about it and wondered what it really means, if there could be any link at all between this scripture and the increase in reports about meteorites all over the world. I would like to know what is your opinion about this.

Will All Israel Be Saved? Follow Up

Q

In Will All Israel Be Saved?, you said, “According to Zechariah 12:10, sometime during the Great Tribulation the Lord will pour out His Spirit of grace and supplication causing the eyes of the Jewish people to be opened to the realization that Jesus has been their Messiah all along.” I thought that this was done back in the Ezekiel 38 war at the onset of the tribulation…when God supernaturally intervenes and defeats Israel’s enemies. Are these two separate events then?

Preparation Day

Published: March 30, 2013
Q

I have been reading your answers to Passover questions and articles. In one you confidently assert that the Preparation day on which Jesus was crucified was the day before Nisan 15, not necessarily a weekly Sabbath. Your conclusion was that Jesus died on a Thursday, Nisan 14. I tend to follow this logic as well, but am looking for sources that verify that the preparation day could mean a day other than Friday. What are your sources that say in Jesus time the preparation day was a designation of the day before any holy convocation, not only a weekly sabbath, as Friday proponents claim?

Noah Or Noe?

Q

I’ve been curious about this for years and can’t come up with a logical reason as why. Why did the writers of KJV have different spelling for the name Noah? Some place its Noah and other its Noe.

Is Jeremiah 25 Both Past And Future?

Published: March 28, 2013
Q

Do you see Jeremiah 25 switching from a “near-term” prophecy to an “end times” prophecy in the middle of verse 12? Verse 13 to 26 seems to speak of the Great Tribulation, especially considering that verse 26 ends with the statement that “Sheshach (Babylon) will drink after them.” This appears to be a parallel with Revelation 17-18, Isaiah 13-14, Jeremiah 50-51. I do not recall ever hearing any prophecy teachers referring to this passage when speaking of the ultimate fall of Babylon.

Origin Of The Black Race

Where did the black race come from? Is there anything in the Bible making reference to this?

Proper Use Of Tongues

Published: March 27, 2013
Q

I am wondering if you might help me to understand what’s going on in 1 Cor.14:22 where Paul writes, “Tongues then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers; prophecy however, is for believers, not for unbelievers”. Then, in the next verse he says, “So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?” Now in v.22 he said tongues were a sign for unbelievers, whereas in v.23 he said if everyone in the church speaks in tongues, unbelievers who hear it will think everybody is crazy. This seems to be a contradiction.

The Last Eight Days. Follow Up

Published: March 25, 2013
Q

Our study group has been going through your “The Last 8 Days” articles and have a question regarding the following statement: “The disciples knew the 483 year mark had been reached a few days earlier and that the Messiah was among them.” The person with the question said that is not said anywhere in the gospels. Would you please let me know how the disciples knew that, so I can give them an answer?
