Is There A “Christmas” Sign?

Published: June 15, 2010
Q

I thank you for your dedication to the study and teaching of God’s Word and your faithful service to us who need your insight and wisdom. I eagerly open your website each day to study with you. I pray for you every day that God continue to bless you and keep you. The question I have is about the timing of the rapture. I know you’ve heard the quip, “If you see Christmas merchandise in the stores, you know Thanksgiving is coming soon.” How true this is but exactly what is the “Christmas” sign that we can look for concerning the rapture?

My Husband Won’t Forgive Them

Published: June 15, 2010
Q

I contacted an ex of mine by email. My sister and even my own mother would make comments on how they wished I would have stayed with the ex before meeting my husband. Eventually it got overwhelming for me so I contacted him. My husband found out and was furious. I asked the Lord for forgiveness and repented and have had no contact at all for over a year. My husband did come to the Lord a few months back but still won’t forgive my sister and mother. We have cut communication with them too, per his decision.

I am just so full of guilt for what I did. I am not even sure why it happened, but I know it’s all my fault. I am very happy now with my husband and we are trying to serve the Lord but its hard when he is so full of hate towards my mom and sis. I’m afraid he will never forgive this and I will never see them again. What can I do?

Does Gomer Refer To Germany?

Published: June 15, 2010
Q

You have the best site on the internet and I read all your articles on prophecy, Your knowledge of the word is very interesting. Recently our church invited a Rabbi who is born again to speak, and His choice of scripture was Ezekiel 38 and 39 . What I found odd was he said that Gomer refers to modern day Germany. I’ve read in your articles and many others where Gomer is referred to modern day Turkey. Now I’m confused. Which is most likely?

Understanding God’s Word After The Rapture

Published: June 14, 2010
Q

Understanding of how thorough the Lord is concerning His word, would it not make sense that He would also have those in mind that will be left behind? I do believe that scripture will be understood well (Matt. 24 etc) for them, by them. We try (you have done an excellent job) to explain scripture that is meant for those who will be left.

When Is The Day Of Visitation?

Published: June 14, 2010
Q

Could you help me out here please? In 1 Pet 2: 9-12 describe one reason or purpose of our good works…that is glorify God in the day of visitation. When is that day? Is it now or the time of judgment to all nations?

Lot’s Sons-In-Law

Published: June 13, 2010
Q

I always wanted to know about Lot’s son’s in laws . They did not leave with Lot and the daughters and mocked his God . Were they married to the daughters yet of a homosexual nature ? That was the sin of Sodom. Did he have sons also ? The angels asked about sons and sons in law? Was Lot an elder or judge ? He sat at the gate and that is what I understood that to mean.

How Can I Put This Behind Me?

Published: June 13, 2010
Q

Before I was saved, I worked in an office with a number of Christians who boasted daily about being saved and knowing where they were going (Rapture). But these same persons treated non-Christians, mainly myself, so badly that I vowed that I would never become a Christian. Even so, I was not a bad person. I was respectful, performed my duties and even went beyond my work scope. The woman who was behind all this has since left us and I have started to attend church but I do not think that I can forgive her. I always thought that one should know a Christian by their deeds. This situation has left me very scarred and I tend to judge people which I do not like to do. Could you advise me of the best way to put this behind me?

Understanding End Times Prophecy

Published: June 12, 2010
Q

Our observation from reading your study on The 7 Things You Have To Know To Understand End Times Prophecy is that for some time (second, minutes, hours?) after the rapture, the earth will be left with no church at all. I find this hard to believe. Also, the argument that God deals with the Church and Israel separately falls down in the case of saved Jews, as they are members of both.

What Has The Holy Spirit Revealed?

Published: June 12, 2010
Q

Concerning 1 Corinthians 2:9-10:

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”– but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.”

I had always thought when I read verse 9 that I could apply this to a future time after we are joined with God in Heaven. I can believe that what the Lord has in store for His children we could not possibly have any conception of while we are still here on Earth. What I don’t understand is verse 10, “but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.” What is it that God has revealed to us by His Spirit?

Reconciling The Known And The Unknown

Published: June 11, 2010
Q

Thank you for taking the time to answer so many questions from the Word of God. I am a little curious how you reconcile your position of Jesus’ return between now and 2011 (with His second coming in 2018) with your view that Jesus won’t be coming back by a certain date, but when the number of Christians added to the church is complete?
